Pink Rollers

When I was little, my mom would put my hair in pink sponge rollers - usually after my bath or shower, right before bed. I would sleep in these rollers, with them poking and pinching me all night. In the morning I would wake up early and rush to the sink to take them out and look at my beautiful curls! Oh - the excitement!!!

Isa & I were at HyVee (the grocery store) and found the old-time pink rollers! I was so excited! She wanted to try them right away (OK, so did I!), so when we got home, she took a shower and we "rolled her up". Unfortunately we only had a few hours before the bus came and we were not able to get her hair totally dry. She had waves, but not big curls. I told her that she should sleep in them, in order to let her hair dry completely. She says that she wants to do it, but it hasn't yet happened. Maybe tonight after her shower.

Here she is, all rolled up. The pix. are blurry - but that's OK. She looks like a 1950's girl, I think!
