Isabel checked herself out many times in the mirror this morning. She went between being very confident about how she looked and liking it, to wondering if her friends would like the "look". I told her it only matters what SHE likes (and what I like, of course...hee hee...just kidding), not what her friends like. Geesh - only in Kindergarten and she is concerned about what others think! I guess she is in the "social" phase of development - which, as a girl, lasts....oh....for a few more decades! I made the mistake of saying something about her curls right before she got on the bus. She put her backpack over her hair/face so that the bus driver wouldn't notice. Nothing like being discreet! She usually stands and smiles and waves at me from her seat, but she sat down and just peered to me - with an unsure look about herself. I'm curious to see what she says about her day when she gets home!
Olivia had little ringlets in front and a ponytail and Isabel had curls all over.

Wow, Isa looks so grown up! It totally changes her "image"! I bet it was a hit at school! :) And Lucy's are so cute, too. Are you sleeping in them tonight? :)
