Nothing much is new around here, but somehow I find the days and weeks flying by! Spring Break has come and gone, as well as the month of March!
Isabel went to my mom's for 5 days last week. It was awesome for everyone! I so enjoyed the time with Olivia and it was so QUIET here! The girls are great friends, but there are days where I want to kill them because they argue and needle one another. Imagine an entire week with no arguing! Olivia and I were able to enjoy some things alone together and then Dave, Olivia, Jack and I were able to spend family time, too. Some of the things we did include: Quarry Hill, Barnes & Noble, the library, walks (only a few due to the weather), a couple of lunches out, reading, errands, and baking.
It has been reported that Isabel had a lot of fun with Grammy. I felt bad, however, because my mom was sick the entire time and she got sick after visiting our house. When Dave had strep. Isa & her Grammy went for walks with Buddy, wrote stories, colored, made paper dolls, and ate a lot of Moosetracks. I'm very happy that she was able to go and spend some special time in WI.
What else? Jack is great - still motoring around like a mini-man! He has discovered that he enjoys dropping his toys through gates and watching them fall down the stairs. Especially his hotwheels. In fact, he seems to be fascinated with dropping things everywhere - onto the floor and into the bathtub. He did NOT want to be left without me when I would run errands when my mom was visiting a few weeks ago. He is in the "separation anxiety" stage and while I know it is normal, it is ANNOYING! I still went out to do my thing, but I felt bad for my mom! The girls went through it, but not to this extent. But I was working then, and they were more used to other people.
OH - I met my mom & Isabel at Como Park in St. Paul last week. We spent our time outside and in the Conservatory, having the kids' pictures taken! I can't wait to see them - I hope they turn out! I want to go back to the Park, though, to visit the zoo. Hopefully we'll make a day trip out of it this Spring or Summer.
This past Saturday I went garage sale-ing with Cristin & Sonia and then out to breakfast! What a great way to spend a morning. Granted, it is a bit crazy to get up at 6:45am on Saturday when you don't have too, but it was worth it! And - energy seems to spill forth when I am LEAVING home to do something fun!
Well - I guess that is all for now! I hope to see "Smart People" with SJP soon. AND I can't wait for the SATC movie! YEAH!
