- They are so tired they go right to sleep
- They giggle and talk and get along and then go to sleep (after someone comes to tell them to be quiet)
- They argue and tattle and run into our room or downstairs to say that the other is "keeping them awake".
The main threat we use for Olivia is to tell her she'll have to go back to the "baby room". She wants NOTHING to do with sleeping in there, now that she is 3 and NOT A BABY!. She had NO problem giving up her room and moving into the big-girl room. The other threat is to take away the Cubs blanket that Dave recently told her she could borrow.
The main threat for Isabel is to take away any of the items that are piled next to her in bed. She is a little pack rat and each night barely has room for herself in her bed! She usually has a horse or two, several books, some of her work from school, etc.
On a night where they are not settled down it takes 1-2 trips into their room. After that, they usually fall asleep.
The room is coming along - looking really cute. We got matching quilts last weekend and we will be putting up some more storage shelving soon. Let's hope this lasts for a few years!

That's sounds just right! My sister and I had to share a room when we were little and I bet those 3 scenarios were played out for us, too, every night. Then I shared a room with my other sister in high school and again...the three same scenarios!
