Olivia is such an independent little girl! She wants to do everything by herself - it's great! Today, as she was getting out of the car, I reached out my hand to help her. She said: "I do it myself. This is not your job. It's my job"
It was really cute. She was very matter-of-fact about it and so serious as she stretched her little leg down to the pavement, holding onto the side of the car door. Stretching, stretching, yes....there's the ground. Exhale.

Do you think she borrowed that independence from the neighbors? I bet she didn't! What a big girl though, knowing that it is her job to do it!
A funny thing happened after I read this post last week... while I was on a plane to Boston, there was an elderly man trying to sit in his seat. He was fragile and slow to lower himself, yet so determined. I watched him with a big smile as I saw his face light up when his behind landed safely into the seat. I thought of Isa & Lucy and the moments you all share. These moments are what Life Is... Love you! Dawn
