About a Boy

What a year. May 8th, 2007 to May 8th, 2008. WOW. I could have never imagined how this little boy would change our lives. He has brought so much happiness to me - a BOY, no less!!!

My life has really changed as a result of Jacks arrival - primarily resigning from my job and deciding to stay at home - and I don't have any regrets! I am MUCH less stressed and I am enjoying the time I have getting to know all of my children better.

The girls' are each wonderful big sisters and I love it when Jack's face lights up when either Isa or Olivia come into the room. He sure thinks those girls are funny (and crazy)!

Now, about that boy. He is "amazing" (song for slideshow)! Here are just a few things that he's done or is currently doing that make him who he is:

  • he was trying to lift his head and chest when he was two weeks old
  • he was the gruntiest baby I've ever heard - the noises he made were unreal!
  • he's been a super-wrestler since day 1
  • he cuddles with his little arms turned in-wards (backwards) and head pressed against a shoulder
  • he sits like he just slid into a base
  • he likes to babble by rolling his "r"'s
  • he smiles with his entire face
  • he walks with his belly leading the way
  • if he hears a gate click or a door open, he baby-sprints to escape
  • he is my little dude

HAPPY 1st BIRTHDAY!!!!!!!

Thanks for posting this... a few additional comments about the dude:
- gotta love his hair. It's always had personality.
- you'll always be able to end any aruguement with him by saying "during childbirth..."

Lot's of love... Dad/Husband/Big D
