Unsavory Character

Isabel and Olivia are home today, and so far they have been playing very nicely together. Now, they are playing with the magnets and discussing "Ginger Pie", which is a CD story they have been listening too. Ginger is a dog. I just heard Isabel say "he is an unsavory character"in reference to Willy Bullwinkles (a boy in the story)....too funny!

And I know I am a bad blogger! I've been meaning to sit down and write, but my mind just wanders off. So, in the spirit of my wandering mind, this post will wander, too.

JACK IS WALKING!!! Yes, he should have a post dedicated entirely to this accomplishment, but, as a 3rd born, he is destined to share almost everything. He's been walking for a few weeks, but as of this week, he prefers walking to crawling. It is so funny to watch him teeter around - just a little guy going about his business. His business, by the way, is to drop things as much as possible, to hang on gates, to eat almost anything in his path, and to speed-walk to doors that open to his sisters' room or my closet.

The weather has been wonderful this week, so as soon as Isabel hops on the bus, Jack and I have been taking walks. Aside for the HUGE puddles everywhere, in which I inevitably come home with damp socks, the walks have been a real mood-lifter. I love spring and warmth and that "free" feeling I get when I take off for parts unknown. Well, OK, for parts around my block, but the feeling is similar.

Saturday I am planning to go to the Cities to meet my sister and my mom and have a girls day. I can't wait!

I'm working on a newsletter for RMS and it is hanging over my head. I have to finish it within a week. Of course, I've had months to "get started", but I am a TRUE procrastinator and nothing is as satisfactory as completing a project just under the wire. Yeah, right.

Now I need to send the crazies outside to play. :)
