Road Trip

The Christmas Trip.

Jack loved the extra entertainment provided by Chalupa. I don't think Chalupa enjoyed the entertainment by Jack quite as much.

Liz and I drove to Peoria in her car while Dave and the girls took the Pilot. Too much stuff and too many people to fit into our car! It was a LONG drive, due to the horrible fog. But I had fun with Liz and Jack was such a good traveller. Until the end - when we could SEE our hotel but could not figure out how to get to the frontage road. We drove in circles for about 1/2 hour, until I called the hotel and found out that we needed to go into the mall parking lot to find our frontage road.

We didn't do the caravan thing, but ended up meeting Dave (by chance) about 30 mins. from Peoria. I pulled over to wait for him to pass so that I could follow him - to check up on how he was driving. I about had a heart attack when he tried passing a truck with oncoming traffic. So - I called him to yell at him. Poor Dave. He can never escape me.

Our hotel was great - we had a 2 bedroom suite so the girls had their own bedroom AND bathroom! Every morning there was a full hot breakfast - needless to say I think I gained at least 5lbs since we left. We were at the hotel from Sat-Tues and then we went to Dave's parents home.

I have more to write later, but for now, I need to take a break while the little guy is sleeping and the girls are in la-la land making booklets.
