It's sad, but I had forgotten how GOOD it feels to laugh. Really laugh. The kind of laughing where I cry. Luckily, I was reminded on Saturday night by a trip to the comedy club with friends. I can't remember the last time that I laughed so much, for so long. And it was awesome to hear my friends and my husband truly laughing, too. In the span of a few hours, all worries were gone and I just sat back and was entertained. It's sort of strange, when I think about it, paying someone to make me laugh. As a comedian, it must be a great feeling to have an audience respond to your jokes with laughter, to know that you are lifting peoples' spirits. I don't think I'd ever have the courage to get in front of an audience and crack jokes, though!
On Sunday I took the girls for a day-trip to Kellogg, MN to visit the LARK Toy Store and Carousel. We had a great time! The major attraction is the beautiful hand carved carousel, with unique animals that are so brightly painted. In addition to to the carousel, the HUGE store has hundreds of wooden toys, along with tons of books, games, puzzles and puppets. We took our time and wandered through all of the stores, reading books and playing with things. The girls rode the carousel twice. Isabel chose the Unicorn for both rides and Lucy chose to ride the Goldfish first and the Wolf next. FUN! FUN!
