This past week Jack, Olivia and I went to my parents for a few days. I've been wanting to visit for some time, but things just kept coming up (ear infections, photo sessions, etc). On Monday I just decided to go. That's how I work best when it comes to planning a trip - I don't like to commit ahead of time because I get all anxious. Dave helped with Jack Monday morning so I could pack, I called Olivia's school and said I was picking her up early and off we went!
It was really nice to get away from the day to day "stuff". I had a relaxing time (even if chasing Jack around was my primary job). Olivia got to feed the six deer (pets) that come to the house twice a day. Jack tried to run into every ditch possible on our walks. In the meantime, back at home, Isabel was enjoying being the center of attention. She's had a rude awakening the past few days since we've been home. I really don't think she'd mind being an only child!
