Saturday was a great day for me - I went to MPLS/St. Paul to visit my sister - and I went ALONE!! From 8:30am-7:00pm we were able to do what we wanted, when we wanted. It was fun! And it was great because I was away long enough to have some time to myself with my sister. However, I must admit that I had a little twinge at the end of the day where I missed the kids was looking forward to coming home that evening.
We went out for breakfast to Cafe Latte, then to CVS (why don't we have one in Roch?) and then back to Liz's to clean up. After I took a long shower we headed out again, this time to Target and then Rosedale. Looked for shoes....couldn't find any wedges that I liked, which was a bummer not only because I want a pair of close-toed wedges to wear with jeans this winter, but also because I had on Liz's shoes and they were KILLING my feet. I almost bought a pair of slippers to wear around the mall. Yes, I'm pathetic. Fashion goes out the window when my feet are blistering.
We had lunch at Macaroni Grill and then went back to her place. It was such a nice, relaxing, fun day. And then she took a nap and I drove home. I got home at a perfect time - the kids bedtime! So I got to read a story to the girls and then give Jack his bottle.
In other news - Jack has his FIRST TOOTH!! And he has been eating cereal for a few days. He is getting the hang of it and I'm sure he will be eating boxes at a time soon enough!

Your day sounds like fun! Nice to get a break :) I can't believe Jack has a TOOTH already??? Our babies are growing up so fast!
OK...poor Jack...you know you're child #3 when your first tooth doesn't even get a separate blog entry . . . just a "by the way" paragraph. :) Just teasing, Sarah! Sorry. :) (At least your kids' blog gets updated more than once a year...actually mine's been over a year now...oops!)
Glad to hear you got a whole day just for Mommy...I'm jealous!
