A Free Moment

I have a free moment so I thought I'd try to recap the past week. Which is hard, since I can't even remember what I did two hours ago.

Let's see....ONE BIG thing is that I RESIGNED from my position at the Rochester Area Math Science Partnership. I've been with them for 5 years and I'll miss my role, my colleagues, and all that I do there. However, I've realized that I want to spend more time with the kids - and if I do a paid job in the near future it would need to be even more flexible because I don't want to hire a babysitter. I'm really enjoying the mornings at home with Isabel - which will only be for one year - and time flies, you know. How did she become almost 6?!? Also - I guess the third kid put me over the edge in terms of how I spend my time, and juggle my time. For right now I don't want to deal with the added stress of having to be somewhere at a specific time, on a specific date. I'm just taking things one day at a time and enjoying my life in the moment.

What else? Jack is 5 months old! How did that happen!!? He has slept ALL NITE for 5 days now! Waking up a few times and crying, but I just let him cry and he goes back to sleep. Yeah! He is eating cereal, rolling and scooching all over, up on his hands and knees launching himself forward. He spits, gurgles, smiles and enjoys the stroller. All in all - a little cutie pie.

Mom and Dad Field were here this past weekend. It was a nice visit. I had the chance to make a roast for dinner one nite and a baked omlet for brunch one morning. I love when they visit, because they LIKE my cooking - and everything gets eaten. Dave and I got out for awhile on Saturday - ALONE! We went to the mall and I got a pair of jeans and 3 tops from Express! YEAH! New jeans that fit! WAHOO! And like any pathetic parents, we had to look for stuff for the kids - we had "gymbucks" to use. So we got a couple of things for the girls, too. Then we went to Lowe's and TJ Maxx. It was so nice to get out alone! We all went to church on Sunday morning and then in the afternoon Dave and his dad worked on the lawn. They rented an aerator, then mowed and seeded. Our yard usually looks so nice when they leave :)

Other than that I guess that's about it for last week! I'm enjoying the fall weather yesterday and today. And my craving of fall, Starbuck's Caramel Apple Cider is calling my name almost every day. UGH!

Oh - and I'm so happy to NOT be pregnant this fall!!! Last year at this time I was miserable - sick, anxious, tired, and regretting getting pregnant. Thankfully God knows best and I was able to get through the rough spots, grow a healthy baby, and now I can't imagine a life without my son!

Happy Tuesday!
