Last weekend was an all-girls weekend as I took the girls to visit relatives in Il. My sister and her girls came from DC, and my mom was there, too! I miss the hotel life; made-to-order breakfasts, clean towels galore, awesome view of the river and bridges.....and, while I missed Jack, no one to wake me up at 6:00am with a messy diaper. I don't mind waking up early - I just like doing it on my own terms!!!
During our stay, we visited my grandma and the girls played outdoors by her little creek. They enjoyed playing in the mud and water. We went out to a reunion one nite, and they pretty much ate cake for dinner. They also got to play with their cousins non-stop, go swimming, go out to eat, and have a sleepover. All in all, an exhausting but great time!
