The trip was long, but the girls were so good in the car, that it really was enjoyable. We left on Wed. nite and arrived in SC on Thurs. nite. We stopped along the way to sleep (around 2 or 3 am) and Dave took the girls swimming the next morning. While in SC we hung out with Billy & Kim and the cousins, hit the pool, enjoyed the AWESOME hotel suite, and went to the wedding which was on Sat. nite.
The girls got to be flower girls, and they were so excited to be in the wedding. Olivia was especially careful to "bow" at the alter, in her overdone way! The girls had on matching halter dresses with full skirts - very cute! I borrowed a dress from a friend of mine (Heather) and I have to say it was fun to get all dressed up! Heels, earrings, dress, makeup!
We started the drive home on Sunday and arrived back in Rochester on Monday evening. It was such a treat to hang out with the girls and Dave - I missed Jack, but I really treasured the quiet, the "big kid" things we could do, the reading on the couch in the middle of the morning, the pool without worrying about a drowning, etc!!
The last photo is me, in the fluffy bed, in the fluffy robe, in the quiet hotel room, after a peaceful shower. I think I could get used to that life!

You make a 2 day road trip sound like every mom's fantasy! :) It DOES sound like a nice little vacation. Fancy hotel, swimming pool, fluffy robe...I'm jealous!
