Isabel was ready and waiting with her backpack (and so was Daddy, with the video-camera) as the bus turned the corner and came down our street. Here it is! Here it is!! .......

The bus didn't stop - it was soooooo funny. All of the build up about riding the bus and then she didn't get to do it! Dave took her to school and she did get to ride the bus home. So far she really likes it!
I'm not sure who was more disappointed she didn't get on the first day, Isa or Dave! At least it's on video.....priceless!

Oh no! Not good . . . Kailey would have thrown a fit if the bus didn't stop for her . . . I think the bus ride was the part she was looking forward to the most.
That's funny because I was actually playing out that scenario in my mind. I even had a plan that if Kailey didn't get to ride on the way to school, I couldn't let her first ride on the bus be on the way home . . . so I was planning on driving her home and having a "redo" on the 2nd day of school! I can't believe that actually happened . . . poor Dave . . . uh, i mean Isa!
I've got to see that video! I wonder if that's how she'll always recall her first day of kindergarten - the day the bus didn't stop! :)
