4th at the Field's

We spent the 4th of July weekend at Mom & Dad Field's. We got out on the lake for a long boat ride on Saturday morning and again that evening for the fireworks. Isabel and Kennedy got to stay up late and experience the fireworks ("m&m's and skittles" shooting from the sky) from the boat with us! It was a good day!

We also celebrated Dave's 31st birthday - Olivia got to decorate the ice cream cake with candles - and did a beautiful job! Speaking of the cake - Kennedy and I went to buy it at Baskin Robbins and after we ordered the cake and ice cream for our treat, I was told they don't accept credit cards - and I didn't have cash! So I had to call Dave's parents and ask them to bring me money! OH WELL! Kennedy and I had a nice time - and I found a new favorite flavor - "Rock and Swirl" (or something named like that). It was grape sherbert mixed with green apple sherbert - yummmmmm!

Sunday the kids had fun in the sprinkler and enjoyed "rocket pops"! Dave's parents have the sprinklers that are buried in the ground and are on a timer, so it was quite "magical" when the sprinklers popped up out of nowhere!
